Flowers in Ogose Plum Trees Garden

I went to the Ogose Plum trees garden in Saitama prefecture.

There are many plum trees, but a little number of trees have bloomed. I suppose most of them will bloom in the biginning of March.

The last day of winter

 February 3rd is the last day of winter. We call it 'Setsu-Bun', which marks the end of the winter and the summer.

 On the Setsu-Bun there are many people gathered in the shrine or the temple. And some of the selected person throw the roast soy beans saying "Get goblins out of the house! Invite happiness into the home!" .

 Many people pick up the beans and eat them same number of their age.

 They do the same thing in their home. One of the person in their family plays the goblin, and the others throw the beans.
